Some tips when recording at the studio


- Drummers -
  • Change drumheads two days before recording.
  • Practice with a metronome to increase tempo accuracy.
  • Practice stretching techniques minutes before recording.
  • Drink plenty of water to hydrate yourself.

    - Guitarists -

  • Change guitar and bass strings the day before.
  • Get guitars intonated by a competent professional.
  • Buy guitars with humbucking pickups.
  • Make sure guitar switches, pickups, and gear is in working condition.

    - Singers/Vocalists -

  • Write lyrics down, memorize them, and make them second nature.
  • Warm up your voice before doing vocals.
  • DO NOT strain your voice prior to recording.
  • Drink plenty of water; avoid sodas or alcohol that may irritate your throat.

    - General -

  • Get plenty of sleep before recording. This is a must! You want to perform
    and record to the best of your ability. Get rest and keep your mind and body
    sharp and ready to go!
  • Don’t bring alcohol, drugs, or visitors.
  • Please bring respect, patience, and an open mind.
